Calendar

Ki-Ken-Tai-Icchi uses the same event calendar as the Finnish Kendo Association.

Below is a list of annual, recurring events, which we try to hold at approximately the same time each year. In addition to these events there is a lot going on with at least two events yeach month, including the summer.

We send out invitations to all events hosted by our own club, the Finnish Kendo Association or neighboring clubs. Check the home page, Facebook-profile and the email list for news and updates.

January

• Spring Basic courses begin, Beginner’s demonstration (weeks 2-3)
• FKA Seminar for Juniors, hosted by KKTI and the FKA (end of January, beginning of February

February

• Haken-sensei arrives in Finland for three months
• Finnish team championships in kendo, Dan Cup

March

• FKA Spring Seminar

April

• Kyu gradings for kendo in Helsinki

May

• End of the Spring season for kendo juniors

June

• Kyu Seminar in Hämeenlinna (kendo, iaido, jodo)
• Friendship event of KKTI and Shiten Kendo Club, St. Petersburg
• Kaveri Cup
• KKTI summer party

July

• Pori Jazz kendo seminar (kendo, iaido, jodo)

August

• Autumn beginner’s courses begin, demonstration for beginners (weeks 35-37)

September

• Tampere kendo seminar

• Kyu-cup
• Stockholm Kendo Open
• ZNKR Jodo seminar

November

• Helsinki autumn kendo seminar
• Kendo individual championships

• Kyu gradings in Helsinki
